Dr. Salvatore Rinzivillo (male) graduated in Computer Science at the University of Catania, Italy, in 2001 and was awarded a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2007. Since 2009 he is a researcher at CNR-ISTI. His current main research interest is Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, especially clustering on spatio-temporal data. He is interested also on data visualization and visual analytics. He received a Best Paper Award at IEEE VAST 2011 Conference He regularly serves as PC and/or referee for various international conferences and journals on data mining. He coordinated WP2 withtin FP7 FET OPEN Project DataSIM and WP3 within H2020 CIMPLEX Project. He is lecturer at the Department of Computer Science at University of Pisa with a Course on Visual Analytics and Data Visualization.
